Facebook: A social media giant is coming to the UK

Facebook has been making big strides in the UK since its launch back in 2012.
Its growth has accelerated over the past year, and now the social network is set to become the country’s third biggest.
Facebook’s UK operations have now added more than 1,300 employees to its workforce, bringing the total number of UK staff working in the social networking giant’s UK operation to 2,822.
The company said it expects its UK expansion to continue, with additional staff to be added over the coming months.
Facebook has recently announced that it will be taking on more responsibility in delivering its digital services in the coming years.
The company plans to launch a series of services and products aimed at developing new business models and improving the user experience, including the ability to share content and videos across the web, and a new way to collaborate on projects, like video sharing.
In a statement, Facebook said it was excited to have this new opportunity to help deliver services that benefit all of our users, including those who have previously chosen to share and collaborate online.
“As part of our ongoing effort to grow our global presence and to build on the momentum of Facebook’s global growth, we are taking on additional responsibilities across our global operations to better serve the needs of our global community,” the company said.
“We look forward to working closely with our UK and international partners as we continue to deliver our vision for Facebook to make the world a better place.”
The UK’s Facebook is the third largest company in the world, after the US and the European Union.
A report by the Pew Research Center last month found that more than one in four British adults use Facebook, and about one in three use the site to make a phone call or send a text.
Facebook said the UK’s digital economy was “tremendously vibrant,” and that the growth in the country would support its expansion in the future.
